A little about our service area…
The principal town of Sutton is a Borough in South London. The town’s name was derived from ‘sūth’ and ‘tūn’ which means “south farm” in Old English. The first settlement within the area was during the Roman era. An archaeological dig was able to find evidence of this. The construction of a turnpike road in 1755 saw a large number of businesses opening to accommodate travellers. The toll bars for Brighton Road and Cheam Road were pushed further away from its original location in order to accommodate Sutton’s expansion.
