Traditional Wooden Casement Windows

We design, manufacture and install traditional wooden to the highest standard.

Wooden casement window fitting and installation

We specialise in building and fitting high-quality, sustainable and tailored windows, with casement windows being one of our most popular options (along with traditional sash windows). We have over 200 years of experience installing casement windows for customers across London, the Home Counties and the South East. All our timber casement windows are built to order from our workshop in Guildford, Surrey and installed by our own specialist fitters.

As part of our commitment to environmentally friendly production, we exclusively use high-quality timber for our casement windows. We use the very popular, long-lasting and durable Accoya timber. Our casement windows are available with a choice of glazing options, long-lasting window furniture, draught exclusion, three coats of breathable micro-porous acrylic paint and a 50-year warranty against timber rot. Our team of experts will talk you through all the varied casement window customisation options to make sure your windows are perfect for your needs, preferences and building.

Where traditional casement windows already exist, we can replace top, side or bottom hinged casement windows if yours have started to deteriorate or rot, and add the benefit of double glazing and draught exclusion.

    Accoya Wood Casement Windows

Accoya is a sustainable, durable wood which is the only option for our traditional wooden casement windows. Accoya wood gets its strength from a non-toxic process known as acetylation, while being harvested from sustainably sourced radiata pine trees.

Accoya wood casement windows won’t warp like other traditional woods and will keep the heat in due to their low thermal conductivity. Along with these great benefits, it is also less susceptible to UV damage. All of these advantages of choosing Accoya wood are backed by our 50-year guarantee that comes with all of our Accoya products.

    Double Glazed Casement Windows

Whether you are looking to install new casement windows, or upgrade your existing older windows, double-glazed casement windows are a necessity. Not only helping to draught and soundproof your home, but also saving you up to 25% on energy bills.

If you currently have single-glazed wooden casement windows, we can add the benefit of double-glazing while preserving the traditional aesthetic of your home. All the double glazing offered by Sash Windows has a low-level U-value, ensuring they adhere to current building regulations.

Why would I replace rather than restore my existing casement windows?

While we do offer a number of options around renovating your current casement windows – such as double glazing, replacement of casement hinges, window sills, box frames or window furniture – we find that most of our customers prefer the quality of a full window replacement.

The benefits of installing new casement windows are:
